How To Draw Treatment Lines Before HIFU Facial Lifting Treatment To Avoid Skin Damage?

2025-02-19

HIFU facial lifting treatment has been very popular since 2014,it brings very good results on Eye tail and eyebrow lifting, forehead fine lines removal, eye periorbital fine lines removal, eye bag removal, under eye skin tightening, nasolabial folds and marionette lines removal, mid-face lifting, double chin removal, jawline lifting, neck lines removal.

While we are enjoying the youth and beauty that HIFU machine brings us, we are also worried about whether it will cause damage to the skin (in the previous article, we have talked about some side effects of HIFU).

So, how to avoid skin damage caused by hifu treatment?

First,we need to use a professional high quality hifu face machine. Second,a experienced or well-trained beautician(operator) is also a must. Third,we should draw treatment lines and mark danger zone before treatment.

Experienced beauticians and doctors who have used hifu machine know that since the machine has the risk of damaging nerves, it is necessary to mark the operation area first to avoid the danger zone where nerves are easily damaged. The officially recommended marking design is shown in the figure below. The red area is the restricted area.

Where is restricted area (danger zone) of hifu facial lifting treatment?

The thermal damage caused by HIFU machine is generally only transmitted at the SMAS layer level, and the average depth of facial nerve is usually deeper than the SMAS fascia layer. However, the temporal branch of facial nerve, mandibular marginal branch and supraorbital nerve are distributed superficially and are easily damaged. Therefore, the corresponding facial area is the operation restricted area. In addition, all anti-aging devices/treatment with deeper penetration should avoid the thyroid area. Physicians/beauticians should strictly follow the operating manual to mark the lines and must not operate on the restricted area.

Generally speaking,HIFU anti-aging equipment mainly acts on the fascia layer, fat layer, and deep dermis without damaging the epidermis. By choose a stable hifu machine and under the premise of proper operation, adverse reactions are not likely to occur. Methods to prevent adverse reactions include:

(1)Standardized operation, do not overlap the number of shots at will.

(2) Strictly draw lines to avoid operating in restricted areas.

(3) Fully evaluate relative contraindications and absolute contraindications. For those with absolute contraindications, avoid operating.

(4) If adverse reactions occur, they should be handled promptly and correctly. The degree of adverse reactions can be minimized.
